Tonight at 5:30 p.m., NAWBO Buffalo-Niagara will present its inaugural Visionary Award to KeyBank, one of its longest and most loyal supporters - and an international supporter of women entrepreneurs.

Key4Women is a nationwide community of entrepreneurial and executive women brought together by KeyBank to help them thrive. The program provides women business owners easier access to business capital, customized financial services, and networking opportunities with other successful women business owners.

"Awarding the Visionary Award to KeyBank reflects NAWBO's deep gratitude for an institutional partner that long has provided support for women business owners. Simply, NAWBO thanks KeyBank, which has been a diamond-level sponsor for over a decade" said Sabina Ramsey, president of NAWBO Buffalo-Niagara. "KeyBank's support of female business owners and entrepreneurs reflects its deep commitment, and we feel fortunate to have an organization that believes in the mission of creating an environment for women business owners to thrive and prosper financially."

The Visionary Awards dinner is being held at Banchetti's by Rizzo at 5:30 p.m. The keynote speaker is Steven Finch, plant manager at the General Motors Tonawanda Engine Plant. He will address what it takes to "Build an Extraordinary Team."

NAWBO propels women entrepreneurs into economic, social and political spheres of power worldwide by strengthening the wealth-creating capacity of its members and promoting economic development within the entrepreneurial community; creating innovative and effective change in the business culture; building strategic alliances, coalitions and affiliations; and transforming public policy and influencing opinion makers.

The Buffalo-Niagara Chapter of NAWBO has been helping women entrepreneurs thrive since 1994. It is the premier organization for Buffalo-Niagara's diverse range of women-owned businesses, fostering a network of women entrepreneurs, articulating its strong voice on important advocacy issues, and providing high-quality educational programs for a dynamic and diverse group of women business owners and chapter partners. NAWBO Buffalo Niagara is a leading advocate for emerging and established women business owners who aspire to higher levels of opportunity, challenge and success.
