Niagara Hospice will celebrate the 25th anniversary of its longest-running fundraiser, "Cocktails and CA$H," at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16. The event will be held at the Cambria Volunteer Fire Co., 4631 Cambria Wilson Road in Lockport.

"Cocktails and CA$H" is presented by the Niagara Hospice board of directors and is highlighted on the calendars of regular guests every year, each wondering if they will be the holder of the ticket for the grand prize of $5,000.

"It's hard to believe it has been 25 years," said James Shaw, DDS, Niagara Hospice board treasurer. "This event has changed venues, themes and caterers, but the constant has always been the people of this community giving generously to support the compassionate care of Niagara Hospice."

Tickets are $100 and include dinner for two catered by Donna Eick, drinks and one entry to win one of 13 different cash prizes of up to $5,000. Event coordinator Mandy Raff said winners need not be present to win a cash prize, and that chances of winning are excellent, as only 300 tickets will be sold.

The event also includes a masquerade theme, wine tastings by Black Willow Winery, a high-end basket raffle, 50/50 splits and the Niagara Hospice "Wheel of Prizes." Additionally, someone will walk away with a diamond generously donated by George Fritz of Mills Jewelers.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased on the event calendar page at www.NiagaraHospice.org or by calling Raff at 716-280-0766. Sponsorship opportunities are still available by calling Raff. Proceeds from "Cocktails & CA$H" benefit Niagara Hospice.
