Panepinto announces thousands in funding for area arts and culturals

More than $300,000 in grants to be distributed to various organizations

State Senator Marc Panepinto recently announced $313,680 in funding for eight arts and cultural organizations in the 60th State Senate District. The funding comes from various grants to be distributed through the New York State Council on the Arts and the Market NY Grant Program.

"The arts play an integral role in the quality of life we enjoy here in Western New York," Panepinto said. "These eight organizations foster and showcase some of the best talent Western New York has to offer while continuing to enrich the lives of the residents of the 60th District and beyond. I'm delighted that these worthy organizations are receiving the financial support necessary to their continued success now and in the future."

Grant funding for each of the organizations through NYSCA is broken down as follows:

  • $5,000 - Ballet Artists of Western New York Inc.
  • $20,000 - Buffalo & Erie County Historical Society
  • $5,500 - Buffalo Chamber Music Society
  • $4,000 - Buffalo Chamber Players Inc.
  • $140,000 - Buffalo Fine Arts Academy
  • $79,000 - Burchfield Penney Art Center
  • $10,680 - Kavinoky Theatre at D'Youville College
  • $9,000 - Graycliff Conservancy Inc.
  • The Burchfield Penney Art Center is the recipient of $36,000 in funding through the Market NY Grant Program.
