The Center for the Arts, University at Buffalo, announces the Bonnie Raitt concert scheduled for Aug. 2 is now sold-out.

General public tickets went on sale last Friday, making the concert the fastest sellout in the Center for the Arts' 20-year history. The Buffalo concert is one of only four dates the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member and 10-time Grammy Award winner has announced for August.

Her last appearance in Buffalo was in 2005 at the Center for the Arts.

Thomas Burrows, executive director of the Center for the Arts, said, "While we usually do not book performances during the summer months when many Western New Yorkers turn their attention to outdoor entertainment, the opportunity to present this incredible artist was too good to pass. We're especially pleased to share this news at a time when so much positive news is coming out of the University at Buffalo."

The Center for the Arts also will present musical parody legend "Weird Al" Yankovic July 15. Limited seats remain for the concert and may be purchased at the center box office and tickets.com. More details are available at www.ubcfa.org.
