Ghost Town Blues Band, finalist in the 2014 International Blues Challenge, to headline

WNED ǀ WBFO Buffalo-Toronto has announced the WBFO's "Buffalo Blues Bash" will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 25, in the WNED ǀ WBFO studios.

Headlining the "Buffalo Blues Bash" is Ghost Town Blues Band, second-place winners in the 2014 International Blues Challenge. Ghost Town Blues Band is a modern blues band with an intimate knowledge of blues, rock and improvisational jams. This gritty, Memphis-based six-piece has been touring the U.S. since its inception in 2009, gaining a strong following within the blues and jam band circuit.

Opening for the event is award-winning local favorite The Patti Parks Band, one of Western New York's most versatile and experienced groups.

"The last two 'Buffalo Blues Bash's' were a huge success," said WNED ǀ WBFO president and CEO Donald K. Boswell. "WBFO's commitment to bringing Western New York the very best of the blues is stronger than ever, and we're thrilled to host this event not only once but twice in 2015."

Previous "Blues Bash" headliners include Billy the Kid and the Regulators and the Selwyn Birchwood Band and opening performers Tommy Z Band and Dive House Union.

WNED | WBFO is planning to present a fourth "Buffalo Blues Bash" later in the year.

Tickets are $18 for WNED ǀ WBFO members and $20 for advanced purchase. The price increases to $25 when bought at the door the night of the event (if the event isn't sold out). Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Doors open at 6:15 p.m.

For tickets, visit wbfo.org or call WNED ǀ WBFO at 1-800-678-1873.
