Music legend Elton John will perform his anthem "I'm Still Standing" in a special live appearance from his concert at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2015." This is the first time he has performed in New York on New Year's Eve and his performance will take place right after the ball drops, ringing in the start to 2015.
Joining the biggest music celebration in the show's history, John's performance will be one of almost 40 performances throughout the night. The show begins at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, on the ABC Television Network.
The bicoastal celebration will include hours of special performances and reports on New Year's celebrations from around the globe, and Seacrest will lead the traditional countdown to midnight from Times Square in New York City as he has for the past nine years.
As previously announced, Jenny McCarthy will be live in Times Square where Taylor Swift, Florida Georgia Line, MAGIC! and Idina Menzel will perform for more than 1 million fans. Fergie hosts the Billboard Hollywood Party and also performs along with previously announced performers Charli XCX, One Direction and Meghan Trainor. Gavin DeGraw and Lady Antebellum will perform live from Nashville.
