Airing Friday, Dec. 12

NBC's "Grimm" will end 2014 by taking on another popular tale from Hispanic culture, "El Chupacabra." Previously, the Friday night staple has adapted episodes featuring "La Llorona" and "El Cucuy."

In this episode, appropriately titled "Chupacabra," Nick (David Giuntoli) finds himself face-to-face with the bloodthirsty legend while investigating a string of gruesome attacks in Portland. Meanwhile, Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee (Bree Turner) prepare to leave for their long-overdue honeymoon, as they are met with more threats regarding their marriage. Elsewhere, Viktor (guest star Alexis Denisof) and Adalind (Claire Coffee) decide to take a trip of their own, while Wu (Reggie Lee) decides to confront Nick about what he has been seeing.

The episode will air at 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, on NBC.

After a brief holiday hiatus, the popular action/drama will return with new episodes Friday, Jan. 9.

"Grimm" is a drama series inspired by the classic "Grimm Brothers' Fairy Tales." After Portland homicide detective Nick Burkhardt discovers he's descended from an elite line of criminal profilers known as "Grimms," he increasingly finds his responsibilities as a detective at odds with his new responsibilities as a "Grimm."
