Kelly Clarkson and Miranda Lambert to honor multimedia entertainer with tribute performance

Multimedia entertainment mogul Reba will receive the first-ever NASH Icon Award during the inaugural American Country Countdown Awards, airing Monday, Dec. 15 (8 p.m. ET), on FOX.

Having become a household name because of her success in music, television, film, theater and retail, Reba is often hailed as the "Queen of Country Music." Her reign boasts 35 No. 1 singles and more than 56 million albums sold worldwide, as well as leading Pollstar and Billboard Boxscore as the No. 1 female country touring artist with more than 9 million tickets sold.

Multi-platinum artists Kelly Clarkson and Miranda Lambert will honor Reba by performing some of her classic hits and best-known songs live from the America's Country Countdown Awards stage. Longtime friend and radio host Kix Brooks will present Reba with the NASH Icon Award during the live show at Nashville's Music City Center.

"The NASH Icon Award celebrates an iconic artist who has made a profound and lasting impact on country music, and Reba is the embodiment of such an icon," said executive producer Mark Bracco. "Her stellar career has influenced generations of artists and fans alike, and we're proud to recognize her accomplishments and her ongoing musical impact."

"Besides being one of the classiest people to ever grace Nashville, Tennessee, Reba has not just done it her way, but she's gotten all of her recognition the old-fashioned way," Brooks said. "She's earned it, and I've been blessed with the opportunity to tour with her, dragging 21 trucks and 19 buses around, and to hear her sing by the campfire. Besides being a talented actor and host, she is seriously one of the best singers I've ever heard. Reba sings with her head, her heart and that amazing voice. She's a treasure Nashville should forever be grateful for. ... Congratulations Red!"

Reba is a Country Music Hall of Fame and Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame inductee and has won 15 American Music Awards, 13 ACM Awards, nine People's Choice Awards, seven CMA Awards, two Grammy Awards, and an ACM Career Achievement Honor, in addition to receiving the National Artistic Achievement Award from the U.S. Congress. Most recently, Reba became the inaugural signing on Nash Icon Music, a new joint venture label between Big Machine and Cumulus. She is currently in the studio recording her first new music in more than five years with long-time producer Tony Brown, and is collaborating with James Stroud to blend their multi-platinum career success.

American Country Countdown Awards is based on country music's longest-running radio countdown show (41 years), "American Country Countdown with Kix Brooks," and will honor country music's biggest stars based on album sales and radio airplay. The NASH Icon Award aptly gets its namesake from Cumulus' NASH brand, which serves as host to the radio program. Tickets to the event are on sale at TheACCAwards.com/tickets.

Florida Georgia Line's Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard will host and perform. Country music heavyweights Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Lambert and Carrie Underwood, along with country's newest star Brett Eldredge, also are set to perform.
