Dunkin' Donuts recently announced a new initiative to raise awareness of services for Western New York veterans, service members and their families this Veterans Day.

For every pound of coffee or K-Cup pack purchased at participating Buffalo-area Dunkin' Donuts locations on Veterans Day, Dunkin' Donuts will donut one pound of coffee (up to 500 pounds) to the Veterans One-stop Center of Western New York.

As the region's premier veteran's service and advocacy not-for-profit collaborative agency, the Buffalo-based nonprofit, located at 1280 Main St., supports and empowers local veterans and military families from all eras of service in their transition to civilian life.

"Dunkin' Donuts is honored to recognize the service of Buffalo-area veterans and service members by launching this new initiative to raise awareness of the Veterans One-stop Center of Western New York on Veterans Day," said Tammy Monks, field marketing manager for Dunkin' Donuts. "All of us at Dunkin' Donuts are committed to serving those who serve, and we're proud to support an organization that has such a tremendous impact on the lives of Buffalo-area veterans and service members."

Founded in 2013, Veterans One-stop Center of Western New York collaborates with local service providers to create programs to assist veterans and service members with accredited benefits counseling, case management, education and employment services, financial counseling, housing and emergency services, and legal services and treatment court.

"We fully appreciate Dunkin' Donuts support in raising the awareness of the tremendous opportunities we provide our veterans, service members and their families through the Veterans One-stop Center of WNY," said Roger L. Woodworth, president and CEO of Veterans One-stop Center of Western New York. "I encourage Dunkin' Donuts' loyal guests to support our efforts on Veterans Day as we empower the men and women who have served our country."
