Former Romanian orphan Livia Satterfield shared her story of redemption Saturday and Sunday with Western New York church and youth groups.

When Satterfield received a shoebox from Operation Christmas Child, its contents changed her worldview. And the person who delivered the gift changed Satterfield's life in an unexpected and remarkable way.

Each year, OCC sends similar gifts to needy children around the world. Satterfield encouraged her audiences to get involved and make a difference in a child's life.

In the next few weeks, shoeboxes will be distributed and assembled leading up to OCC's pre-Thanksgiving collection week.
