The Niagara University men's basketball team will play the St. Bonaventure Bonnies at the First Niagara Center in downtown Buffalo Saturday, Nov. 29, as part of the "Big 4 Classic" doubleheader with the University at Buffalo Bulls and Canisius Golden Griffins.

Niagara and Bona will play at 2 p.m., followed by UB and Canisius at 4:15 p.m. The date will mark the fourth time all four schools have played a basketball doubleheader in the building downtown, and the first time since Dec. 12, 1998.

Tickets start at $20, with floor seats costing $30. One ticket is good for both games. Fans can purchase tickets through www.Tickets.com, at First Niagara Center Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or charge by phone at 1-888-223-6000.

Niagara will play in the First Niagara Center for the second straight season. The Purple Eagles defeated Davidson, 83-72, on Dec. 11 in game one of the Big 4 doubleheader.

The Niagara/St. Bonaventure series dates back to the 1920-21 season. NU trails in the all-time series, 85-68, but have won eight of the last 11 meetings.

The teams will play on a neutral court for only the third time in the 153 previous meetings between the programs and the second time in three years. The only previous meeting at the First Niagara Center between the teams was Dec. 12, 1998, which saw Bona down Niagara, 70-61.
