NRAA fishing tourneys this summer

The Niagara River Anglers Association has announced two upcoming fishing tournaments along the lower Niagara River.

•The Smallmouth Bass Contest will be held Saturday, July 26, from sunrise to 2 p.m. at the Fort Niagara south boat launch. The entry fee is $20. Cash prizes will be awarded to the three winners who catch the largest fish. There will be a picnic at the Fort Niagara south boat launch after the weigh-in.

•The Lower Niagara River Walleye Contest will be held Saturday, Aug. 23, from sunrise to 2 p.m. at Lewiston Landing. The entry fee is $20 and cash prizes will be awarded to the three winners who catch the largest fish. A picnic and awards ceremony will be held at Lewiston Landing after the weigh-in.

Both contests are open to the public as well as NRAA members. Participants must register before the contest. Registration forms can be filled out online atniagarariveranglers.com, in person at Creek Road Bait and Tackle at 4419 Creek Road in Lewiston, or by mail to NRAA Bass Contest, P.O. Box 203, LaSalle Station, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
