The Niagara Wine Trail is holding its annual wine and cheese pairing event June 13-15. Featuring Yancey's Fancy artisan Cheese, the timing of this event is ideal for celebrating both Father's Day and recent college graduates.

Presale tickets are available online for $30 each until June 12. Event tickets will also be available for $35 at each winery the day of the event. Tickets include a tasting of three wines with a cheese sample from each participating winery, plus a commemorative wine glass from each participant's starting winery. The event hours are Friday, June 13, from noon until 5 p.m.; Saturday, June 14, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, June 15, from noon to 5 p.m.

Some of the featured pairings during the event include Yancy's Fancy peppadew cheddar paired with Riesling at Eveningside Vineyards; a Bergonost cheese paired with Chateau Niagara Winery's semi-dry Riesling; and a choice of either Siegfried (for a dry palate), Riesling (semi dry) or Catawba (sweet) wines with Double Cream Cheddar at Schulze Vineyards.

A full list of pairings and participating wineries can be found on the wine trail's events page.

Wine and cheese event tickets are valid for all three days of the event, so patrons may take advantage of spreading their tastings over the weekend. Event attendees are welcome to visit different wineries each day in any order they choose. As a reminder, tickets do not include transportation. A valid photo ID with proof of age is also required to participate in wine tasting. For more information, a calendar of other events along the trail, and to purchase tickets, visit the Niagara Wine Trail online at http://www.NiagaraWineTrail.org.
