The Friends of the Youngstown Free Library invites the community to support its next fundraiser on Monday, May 19, at Bandana's Bar and Grill, 930 Lake Road, in Porter. The restaurant is giving 10 percent of the sales of meals eaten in the dining room and patio that day to the Friends to benefit the library. This includes breakfast, lunch and dinner from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
"We all have a really great excuse to eat our meals out on Monday in support of the Youngstown library," said Charlotte Viscio Clark, Friends president. "The owners and staff at Bandana's continue to be some of our biggest supporters and the Friends group is grateful to them for hosting this fundraiser again this year."
The Friends of the Youngstown Free Library has a membership of about 300 and is run by a board of directors. It meets every third Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Youngstown Free Library.
