The Buffalo Sabres are hosting an authentic green jersey auction to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Sabres players wore green jerseys during pregame warm-ups prior to the March 16 home game against the Montreal Canadiens. The jerseys are up for auction on the NHL.com auction site. All proceeds from the auction, which runs through Thursday, March 27, at 9 p.m., will benefit the Buffalo Sabres Foundation.
The Buffalo Sabres Foundation is a New York not-for-profit corporation that is committed to stimulating, supporting and encouraging organizations that serve Western New York and are committed to youth hockey initiatives; the health, wellness and education of underprivileged /disadvantaged youth and military personnel; and physically and mentally challenged athlete, by providing financial generosity and other platforms for their endeavors.
