For each $1 donation to Toys for Tots campaign, guests will receive a patriotic-themed donut as a "Thank you"
Dunkin' Donuts will show its support for one of America's most iconic holiday toy collection drives this holiday season through a second-year partnership with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves' Toys for Tots program in Western New York.
Through Sunday, Dec. 15, participating Dunkin' Donuts restaurants throughout the greater Buffalo area will offer guests a special patriotic-themed donut as a "Thank you" when patrons make a $1 donation to the Western New York Toys for Tots program.
All funds generated through the program will go toward the purchase of toys for children and families in need residing in Erie, Niagara, Genesee, Wyoming and West Cattaraugus counties during the 2013 holiday season. The toys will be distributed by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve through the annual holiday collection drive.
"Dunkin' Donuts is honored to partner with our local Marines from Western New York to support the Toys for Tots program this holiday season. We are deeply grateful for the work of the dedicated Marine Corps Reserve volunteers who bring so much joy to children throughout our region," said Dunkin' Donuts Field Marketing Manager Alisa LaPlante. "I encourage residents throughout the greater Buffalo area to enjoy a special treat while supporting Toys for Tots, and I am confident our loyal guests will show great enthusiasm in joining with Dunkin' Donuts to raise funds for a program that is so important to our community."
The specialty patriotic-themed donut will be available at participating Dunkin' Donuts restaurants in Erie, Niagara and Chautauqua counties through Dec. 15. Additionally, participating Dunkin' Donuts restaurants throughout the greater Buffalo area will serve as drop-off locations for guests wishing to donate new, unwrapped toys for the holiday collection drive.
Dunkin' Donuts support in Western New York is an outgrowth of the restaurant's partnership with the Toys for Tots program in Albany and the Greater Capital Region, where Dunkin' Donuts has been the premiere supporter of the program led by the Marine Corps Reserve for the past five years. Since 2009, the annual Dunkin' Donuts Marine Corps Reserves' Toys for Tots Train - the only train of its kind in the country - has delivered thousands of toys to underserved children in upstate New York over a two-day period in early December.
