Lockport WWII veteran Ed Kolek named to French Legion of Honor

Lockport World War II veteran Ed Kolek was named to the French Legion of Honor during a special ceremony at the B. Leo Dolan American Legion Post No. 410 on Thursday. Napoleon Bonaparte instituted the award in 1802 to denote special service to France.

Kolek piloted B-24 aircraft in 47 missions and contributed to the liberation of France.
