The Boy Scouts and the Girl Scouts will co-host a "Scout Night Expo" for youth of nearly every age on Wednesday, from 6-8 p.m., in the Lewiston-Porter Middle School cafeteria on Creek Road.

Scouting skill demonstrations and activities will be available to give young people a taste of what Scouting is like. Cub Scouts, for boys in first through fifth grade, Boy Scouts, for boys 11-17 years old, and Girl Scout Troops, for girls from kindergarten to 17 years old, all will be present. Additionally, the local Sea Scout Ship and a local Venture Crew, both of which are high-adventure co-ed groups for 14-20 year-olds, and the Youngstown Fire Co. Explorers Post will be in attendance. Activities and information will be provided, all in one room.

Older teens can stop by on their own to learn about getting involved in whitewater rafting, mountain climbing, hiking, crewing a ship, firefighting, and much more. Those unable to attend who would still like to join Scouting can visit www.BeaScout.org or www.GSWNY.org.
