United Way of Greater Niagara elects board of directors

The United Way of Greater Niagara recently elected officers and members of its board of directors for 2013 at its annual meeting.

Jerald Wolfgang, of the WNY Regional Education Center for Economic Development, will once again lead the organization, having been re-elected to a second one-year term as board chairman. Also re-elected as board officers were: Michelle Bradley, superintendent of the Lockport City School District, vice chair; Kathy Muir, Briody Healthcare, treasurer; and Jeff Eddy, National Grid, secretary.

The board also elected the following members to serve three-year terms: Eddy; Donald Freedman, Ferguson Electric; Robert Hagen, retired; Jessie Jesson, UAW 686, General Motors Component Holdings; Robert Kazeangin, Buffalo News; and Richard Witkowski, retired.

The United Way of Greater Niagara was formed in 2010 through the consolidation of the former United Way of Niagara and the former Eastern Niagara United Way. The organization provides support to more than 20 non-profit agencies and more than 75 programs across Niagara County.

A volunteer-driven agency, the United Way of Greater Niagara is committed to making Niagara County a healthier and stronger community.
