Smokin' Eagles leaders Roy "Honcho" Gregory of Wheatfield and Robert Giordano of Lewiston were a part of the Community BBQ held last Saturday at the former St. George's Anglo Catholic Church at 1910 Falls St., in Niagara Falls.
Smokin' Eagles worked with the St. Vincent DePaul Society of Niagara University and Joanne Lorenzo, minister and founder of the Magdalene Project, and her staff to serve 100 people. Gregory and Giordano cooked all the food for the dinner.
"The dinner wouldn't have been possible without the help of the NU students and the funding for the dinner provided by the society and Niagara University campus minister Monica Saltarelli," Giordano said.
