A small group of students can make a big difference. That is certainly evident at Tuscarora Indian School, where students recently participated in The Mighty Niagara Half-Marathon discount card fundraiser for the Niagara Hospice Alliance.
Haley Navenma led the school by selling the most cards. She was awarded a $50 gift card to Walmart for her outstanding effort. Chase Chapman and Karson Swanson were top sellers, as well. With more than 100 cards sold, the students raised $1,060 for their school and an additional $535 that was donated to Niagara Hospice.
The card offers discounts at dozens of local restaurants and businesses and sells for $15.
The Mighty Niagara discount card fundraiser is an opportunity to raise money for schools and organizations while benefiting Niagara Hospice. For more information about the fundraiser, contact Maureen Rizzo at the Niagara Hospice Alliance at 716-280-0728.
