The Lewiston Council on the Arts was recently recognized as a recipient of two grants awarded through the Arts Niagara Decentralization program, a regrant program of the New York State Council of the Arts administered through the Tonawandas' Art Council and the Carnegie Art Center. Funds were used to support "Drumming for Peace" and weekend residencies for three Native American artists during the Lewiston Art Festival.
