As another school year has come to a close, members of the Lewiston-Porter Middle School Builders Club can reflect on the fun and fulfilling volunteer work they participated in.
The Builders Club continues to strive to assist the school and community in outreach events throughout the course of the year. Some projects students participated in include the Peach Festival food tent, care packages for soldiers in Afghanistan, Fort Niagara beach sweep, Youngstown Monthly Story Hour, Youngstown Recreation Halloween party, "Christmas in the Village," Habitat for Humanity, soup kitchen, Valentine's Day cards for nursing homes, St. Vincent de Paul food drive, Youngstown Library book sale, and the Nancy Price 5K Race.
The club still continues to participate in events throughout the summer, such as the Artpark Mainstage wheelchair program, Artpark art camps, and the Falkner Park Nickel Carnival.
On behalf of the entire Builders Club, I would like to thank our adviser, Mrs. Tina Oddy, for guiding us through another successful year!
