Imagination Movers - Live! Rock-O-Matic Tour 2012

The Center for the Arts, University at Buffalo, will present Imagination Movers - Live! on Tuesday, April 10, at 7 p.m. in the Mainstage Theatre, located at the Center for the Arts, North Campus.

The Emmy Award-winning Imagination Movers return to the Center for the Arts with their brand new "Rock-O-Matic" concert tour. The wildly popular New Orleans-based rock band for kids of all ages will play its most popular songs and bring the magic of the "Imagination Movers" television series to the stage in an exciting live concert. The band's unique brand of smart, contemporary pop was described in the New York Times as "prized by many parents for non-condescending lyrics and music that evokes the Beastie Boys or Red Hot Chili Peppers."

The "Imagination Movers" television series, which features the blue-suited band as brainstormers working hard to solve "Idea Emergencies" in their Idea Warehouse, is a hit with audiences around the world, airing in more than 55 countries/territories and in 12 languages since September 2008. Since signing to Walt Disney Records, the Imagination Movers have sold more than 100,000 albums, received multiple awards, and earned critical praise from the Associated Press, Entertainment Weekly, and many other media outlets.

The Imagination Movers released its newest CD/DVD, "Rock-O-Matic," on Feb. 14. It features some of the band's most irresistible songs to date. The DVD features live-action and animated music videos as well as high-energy skits that the Movers are famous for. New episodes of the "Imagination Movers" will debut on Disney Jr. during "Movers Week" in April.
