The Village of Lewiston Recreation Department announces the following programs and activities for the month of March. All will take place at the Village of Lewiston Red Brick Municipal building, 145 N. Fourth St.
•Junior Garden Club bird house painting, for children ages 4, and up will be offered Thursday, March 1, or Friday, March 2, at 4 p.m. Presented free of charge and sponsored by the Lewiston Garden Club, the event will allow participants to paint birdhouses for the backyard. Pre-registration is required. Call 754-1990 to register.
•Bingo night for ages 4 to 16 will be held Friday, March 2, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The program is free to all, and prizes will be offered.
•Watercolor painting classes for intermediate and advanced students will be offered in a six-week session, Saturdays, March 3 to April 7, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Taught by Michael McMahon, the class cost is $90. Supplies are not included. For further information, call 754-1990.
•Beading time, for children ages 7 and older, will be offered Monday and Wednesday, March 5 and 7, from 4 to 7 p.m. All materials are supplied, and parents and children are welcome to attend. Children ages 7 and up may attend by themselves; younger visitors will need to have a parent accompany them. Call 754-1990 to pre-register.
•Lewiston Recreation Department will hold a surplus craft sale Monday and Wednesday, March 5 and 7, from 4 to 7 p.m. Surplus crafts, holiday themed and others, will be on sale at low prices.
•Lewiston Recreation Department will hold a yard sale Saturday, March 10, from 9 a.m. to noon. Donations are being accepted for the sale on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 6 and 7.
•Eggs, eggs, eggs - a fun craft activity for children ages 5 and up, will be held Monday, March 12, at 4 or 6 p.m. Offered free of charge, children will have fun making "egg-citing" crafts. Participants will be using glue guns. Call 754-1990 to register.
•Ceramic bunny face painting for children ages 5 and up will be offered on Tuesday, March 13, at 6 p.m. The program is free; call 754-1990 to register.
•Mask decorating for children grade 2 and up will be offered Monday, March 19, at 4 or 6 p.m. Participants will be decorating a mask with paint, jewels, ribbon and feathers. The program is free; call 754-1990 to reserve a space.
•Tie-dye T-shirt painting for children ages 7 and up will be offered on Tuesday, March 20, at 4 or 6 p.m. Participants will need to bring in their own pre-washed cotton T-shirt. Dyes will be provided. The program is free; call 754-1990 to reserve a space.
•Face painting ceramic eggs, for children ages 5 and up, will be offered Wednesday, March 21, at 4 p.m. The program is free; call 754-1990 to register.
