The Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce will honor nine businesses and individuals at the annual Chamber Awards Gala on Friday, June 8, at the Niagara Falls Country Club in Lewiston. The annual awards gala includes an evening of live music, silent auction, wine on table donated by local wineries and businesses, and hors d'oeuvres, followed by a sit-down dinner and awards program.
Tickets are available through the chamber office (100 N. Third St., Lewiston) at $75 per person.
The Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce will honor nine businesses and/or individuals in the following categories:
•Lewiston Business of the Year - Angel to Apple
•Youngstown Business of the Year - Ashker's Café and Ice Cream Shop
•Sanborn Business of the Year - H.A. Treichler and Sons Greenhouse
•Ransomville Business of the Year - Ransomville Free Methodist Church
•Village of Lewiston Citizen of the Year - Robert Hotchkiss Welch
•Town of Lewiston Citizen of the Year - Niagara Powerlifting Club
•Youngstown Citizen of the Year - Neil C. Riordan
•Town of Porter Citizen of the Year -Kathy Zasucha and Ramona Lockhart
•Chamber of Commerce Chairman's Award - First Niagara Bank
The awards are given based on leadership, dedication and achievement in the community. The businesses are chosen by their respective business associations, and citizens by the municipalities. The Chamber Awards Gala recognizes these businesses and citizens who help make this region a wonderful place to live and do business.
The Chamber Awards Gala is open to the public to attend. The evening is one of the region's highlight events of the year, held to celebrate the business community and those citizens who help contribute to the success of the area.
