With the ink barely dry on the 2011 season, all focus has turned to the 12th annual Hangover 150 and the upcoming 2012 season at Ransomville Speedway. Tentative scheduling is beginning to take place with an announcement slated for early into the new year. In addition to scheduling, Marketing Director Tana Robinson has been working with sponsors regarding the upcoming season.

"We are truly blessed to have some of the best sponsors in the business," commented Robinson. "Their dedication and belief in this sport is second to none."

Waste Management has confirmed its plans to once again sponsor the "Battle at the Border," usually held in early July. Centered on the July Fourth holiday, the "Battle at the Border" pits the U.S. drivers against the Canadian drivers in a fun and unique way. If a U.S. driver wins the Modified feature, the top five U.S. drivers each receive an additional $300 bonus. The same goes if a Canadian driver wins - the top five Canadians receive a $300 bonus each.

Mike Mahar of Waste Management has a long history at the Big R as a race fan. Having grown up just a few short miles from the Big R, Mahar has spent many Friday nights from April through September enjoying the racing action. In addition to sponsoring one of the schedule's highlight shows, Waste Management can also be found on Danny Johnson's entries as an official sponsor. Waste Management guests were certainly happy at the conclusion of last year's "Battle at the Border," as their driver, Johnson, sat in victory lane.

The Big R adds that www.2FindYourHome.com, a first-time sponsor in 2011, is eager to re-sign for 2012. "2FindYourHome.com, Western New York's only website with every listing, is proud to sponsor Ransomville Speedway again for the 2012 season," commented Brian Woolson of Buffalo Niagara Real Estate. "We enjoyed our partnership with them in 2011 and look forward to the upcoming season."

And Crosby Marts has been a proud sponsor of the Big R for the past few years and is looking forward to the upcoming season. Stop by Crosby Marts for a full color schedule beginning in mid-March.
