St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church and School of Sanborn celebrated "St. Peter's Night at the Ballpark" in conjunction with the Niagara Power baseball organization on June 11. The Niagara Power took on the Alleghany County Nitros at Sal Maglie Stadium in Niagara Falls in front of a crowd of 370 people.

Pre-game entertainment was provided by the Christian band Unchanging Grace.

The members, youth, and friends of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and School participated throughout the night: Rev. Bruce Gamaché threw out the ceremonial first pitch, Jonathan Haseley led the opening prayer, Courtney Jeacoma sang the national anthem, and students from St. Peter's Christian Day School were anthem buddies on the field with the players.  In addition, the church sponsored between-inning activities and games, raffle giveaways, as well as the singing of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during the seventh inning stretch by the school's students.

Named for the mighty power display at Niagara Falls, the Niagara Power (www.niagarapower.org) is an expansion team in the New York Collegiate Baseball League and is an affiliate of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
