So, as the story goes, L.A.-based recording artist and Grand Island native Stacy Clark was back in town on Tuesday, and wanted to check out Creedence Clearwater Revisited at her favorite venue, Artpark. Once there, she bumped into some friends, Mike and Mia, who suggested they all hang out post-concert at Lewiston's newest establishment, Hops-N-Vines.
Once inside the lounge, Clark began to dig the décor ... and neighbor Casa Antica's award-winning rice balls. She struck up a conversation with owners Kurt Minervino, John DiMino and Christopher Salada, who informed her of their new, Thursday night open mic night.
Those who know Stacy Clark know she is extremely loyal to Western New York and always supporting its music venues. When she heard the three partners long to spread the word about the open mic night, Clark agreed to perform this week. ... And invite her fan base, too.
The artist behind records "Apples and Oranges" and "Connect the Dots" will take the stage sometime after 8 p.m.
Hops-N-Vines is located at 490 Center St., Lewiston. For more information about Stacy Clark, visit www.myspace.com/stacyclark.
