To
celebrate awards season, Bravo's TelevisionWithoutPity.com,
the popular website for entertainment enthusiasts, brought their fans the
first-ever "Movies Without Pity Awards." A spin-off from the site's successful
"Tubey Awards," the "Movie Without Pity Awards" asked viewers to vote in
quirky, fan-centric polls focused entirely on theatrical releases from the past
year.
Nearly
300,000 users cast their votes in the 55 unique categories. Unlike traditional
film awards, the "Movie Without Pity Awards" go beyond recognizing the best
movies and entertainers in categories that speak to what discerning film fans
are really discussing.
Winners were announced and include:
- Best Movie of the Year: "Inception"
- Best Horror Movie: "Black Swan"
- Worst Drama: "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse"
- Most Overrated Movie: "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse"
- Most Underrated Movie: "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World"
- Movie That Should Never Get a Sequel: "Cop Out"
- Worst Follow-up to an Awesome Movie: "Shrek Forever
After"
- Movie With the Most Ridiculous Premise: "Hot Tub Time
Machine"
- Most Adult-Friendly Kids Movie: "Toy Story 3"
- Best Movie You Saw Mainly for the Smut: "Love and Other
Drugs"
- Favorite Guilty Pleasure Movie: "The A-Team"
- Most Ridiculous Plot of the Year: "Sex and the City 2"
- Best Supporting Actress: Emma Watson ("Harry Potter and
the Deathly Hallows, Part 1")
- Most Overused Actor: Ashton Kutcher
- Best Cameo: Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger
