Spring gala event to support Artpark
For more than 37 years, Artpark has presented creative inspiration, artistic discovery and award-winning programming that has provided immeasurable benefits to the Western New York region as a premier visual and performing arts destination. Artpark supporters and patrons are invited to an evening as only Artpark can create - a "Black & White Ball - On Stage" at Artpark's Mainstage Theater on Saturday, May 21.
A fabulous evening is planned inside Artpark's Mainstage Theater featuring cocktails, dining, music and dancing, all set against the dramatic backdrop of the legendary theater. A unique silent auction will be highlighted by an array of distinctive gifts, original art, ticket packages and dazzling baskets, prior to a special stage welcome for the guests.
All proceeds will be directed to 2011 season programming, free outdoor concerts, and the free family and children's activities annually presented by Artpark & Company - the non-profit cultural organization that presents Artpark's annual summer schedule.
"We at Artpark are proud of our past and excited about our future," said Artpark & Company Chairman Chris Brown. "On behalf of the board of directors, I invite everyone to be part of this exciting event at the site of Western New York's premier summer entertainment venue."
Honorary chairman of the "Black & White Ball" is Ambassador Anthony H. Gioia. Rose Gellman, Sophia Smith, Kirsten Brydges Lawley and Christina Gentz are the event chairpersons.
For corporate table and ticket reservations to "Black & White Ball - On Stage," call Artpark at 754-9000, ext 124.
Artpark's new 2011 season will be released to the public on May 4.
