Baseball, softball open tryouts planned

Lewiston Baseball and Softball has announced open tryouts for spring of 2011 travel teams. There is no fee for the tryout. Players are encouraged to attend if they seek a travel baseball and softball team that both instructs the game of baseball at a high level and competes at a high level.

  • 17U Knights baseball: Monday, Aug. 23, at 7 p.m. at Washuta Park and Wednesday, Aug. 25, at 7 p.m. at Washuta Park.
  • 17U Knights baseball: Monday, Aug. 23, at 7 p.m. at Washuta Park and Wednesday, Aug. 25, at 7 p.m. at Washuta Park.
  • 15U Junior Purple Eagles baseball: Tuesday, Aug. 24, at 7 p.m. and Thursday, Aug. 26, at 7 p.m. at Washuta Park.
  • 16U Junior Purple Eagles baseball: Monday, Aug. 30, 7 p.m. at Washuta Park.
  • 9U Junior Purple Eagles baseball: Wednesday, Aug. 25, 6 p.m., Pletcher Blue, Friday, Aug. 27, at 6 p.m., Pletcher Blue
  • 12U Pride softball; Sunday, Aug. 29, 5 p.m. at Kiwanis Park
  • 10U Pride softball; Sunday, Aug. 29, 5 p.m. at Kiwanis Park
