Classic champions

More than 160 golfers took
to the links June 8 at the Niagara Falls Country Club for the 19th annual
Niagara Cup Classic golf tournament. The tournament netted $50,000, which will
support Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center's state-designated stroke center.
Tournament Co-chair Dr. Komal Chandan, right, presented the Niagara Cup to the
championship team from Health System Services. Accepting the trophy were, from
left, Bob Minicucci, Jeff Ross and Tournament Co-chair Doug Mooradian. Also
playing in their foursome was Todd Anderson. The quartet carded a best two
balls net team score of 123. Women's all-star champions were Deb Kantor, Carrie
Krieger, Patty McPherson and Kris Ruggiero. Chris Collins carded a 66 to
capture first place gross honors.
