Obituary: Roberta A. Lorence

June 20, 1935-March 6, 2024 (age 88)

Roberta A. Lorence (nee Cronin) of Grand Island entered into rest March 6, 2024. 

She was the beloved wife of 63 years to the late Harry Lorence; the devoted mother of Kurt (Patty) Lorence, Kris (Tessie) Lorence, Kent (Trish) Lorence, Kyle (Late Darlene) Lorence, Kristin (Jeffrey) Kryszczuk, K. Jonathan Lorence, and the late Kim Marie Lorence; the cherished grandmother of Robert, Maria (Anya), Elizabeth (Dee), Kyle, Kelly (Stephen), Shannon (Adam), Matthew (Katie), Ava, Audrey, Jordan, Hailey, Tyler and Mason; the great-grandmother of Theia; and survived by relatives and friends.

Roberta both played and coached softball for 39 years. She was actually 69 when she played her last game. Roberta also was on a volleyball team with her daughter for 20 years. She was an avid bowler on the Island, and president of her Tuesday night league for many years. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16, at the Bible Fellowship Center Church, 1136 Baseline Road, Grand Island. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
