Taste of Buffalo announces Tom Mahoney as 2024 chair, announces restaurant registration deadline of Feb. 12

Largest two-day food festival in nation slated for July 13 & 14

The Taste of Buffalo presented by Tops announced Tom Mahoney as chair of the 2024 event.

Additionally, it was announced the deadline for restaurants, food trucks and wineries to apply for the 2024 festival is Monday, Feb. 12. Applications can be completed at www.tasteofbuffalo.com or by clicking here for restaurants, here for food trucks, or here for wineries.

This year’s event takes place July 13-14 along Delaware Avenue and Niagara Square in downtown Buffalo.

A press release stated, “Mahoney has been involved with the Taste for three decades. For the past 10 years, he has managed the festival’s logistics. Notably, he was instrumental in designing both the street and electrical layout when the festival moved from Main Street to Delaware Avenue.

“Mahoney resides in Orchard Park with his wife, Liz, and their two daughters.”

He said, “It is an honor to lead this year’s Taste. I’m excited to see people enjoying the delicious and diverse food from our city’s wonderful restaurants on a beautiful Buffalo summer weekend. We have an incredible team that is already working hard on this year’s festival. We welcome and encourage restaurants, food trucks and wineries of all varieties and sizes to apply to participate.”

Celebrating its 41st anniversary in 2024, the Taste of Buffalo is the nation’s largest two-day food festival. Last year, the Taste was announced as a winner in the 2023 USA Today 10Best Readers' Choice travel award contest and placed No. 1 in the Best City Food Festival category.
