The University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine is proud to present the eighth annual “Dentistry Smiles for Veterans” event on Saturday, Nov. 11, on the South Campus. The initiative is dedicated to honoring veterans and ensuring they receive the dental care they deserve.
“Dentistry Smiles for Veterans” provides essential dental care for up to 200 veterans, many of whom lack dental insurance or do not qualify for dental treatment through the Veterans Health Administration. This initiative addresses a crucial need for those who have served our country.
More than 200 professionals, including Buffalo-area dentists, hygienists, UB dental students, faculty and staff, will be on hand throughout the day to provide services ranging from simple cleanings to oral surgery.
Please note that all veterans receiving treatment have scheduled appointments; walk-up patients will not be accommodated.
Services will be provided from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the UB Dental Clinic, Squire Hall on UB’s South Campus. At 10 a.m. the Niagara Falls Air National Guard will give a presentation of the colors.
“Dentistry Smiles for Veterans” is made possible through a collaboration of the UB School of Dental Medicine, the Eighth District Dental Society, the New York State Dental Association, Fidelis, and Wellcare.
