The Great Pumpkin Farm in Clarence will kick off its 28th annual fall festival, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, with a special Armed Forces Weekend in collaboration with Clarence Citizens for Veterans. The regular admission fee will be waived for active duty and retired military, veterans, police or fire department personnel who present proper identification to WNY Heroes representatives at the gate. They will also be permitted to bring one guest for free.

A press release noted, “All attractions will be up and running on opening weekend, and additional entertainment will include Vinnie and Teddy, the ever-popular animatronic dinosaurs, who will roam the corn maze both days from noon until 4 p.m. looking for their prey, and the Balloon Experts, who will amaze with their incredible balloon characters and designs. There will also be live music in The Witches Brew indoor or outdoor bar (weather depending).

“As with every year at this annual fall attraction tradition, there’s something for everyone, including amusement rides; hayrides; corn maze; the pumpkins and mum patch; Zombie Train; Apple Cannons; Super Mega Slide; Train ride on the Oak Express; shooting gallery; homemade doughnuts, pies, cookies and pastries; Halloween decorations and special events, such as the World Pumpkin Weigh Off, Pumpkin Olympics, Pumpkin Drop and IndePumpkins Day – and so much more!”

More About the Great Pumpkin Farm and the Fall Festival

Since 1996, when it first hosted the World Pumpkin Weigh-off and was included in the Guinness Book of World Records for the first 1,000-pound pumpkin, the Great Pumpkin Farm in Clarence has grown. Organizers said the annual fall festival is Western New York’s largest fall family event in the region.
