Buffalo Music Hall of Fame legends will be center stage for concert & fundraising event Aug. 27

Three 501(c)(3) nonprofits – Music To Remember WNY, Bridget’s Battle, and WNY Drummers for Homeless People – will join together for a concert and fundraising event Sunday, Aug. 27, at The Cove Seafood and Banquets, located at 4701 Transit Road Buffalo. The event runs from noon until 5 p.m. and will include special door prizes, basket raffles and a 50/50 split.

There is a $20 donation at the door.

Hall of Fame Heals is an umbrella group of three partnered nonprofit programs of The Buffalo Music Hall of Fame.

•Music To Remember WNY is a program “dedicated to bringing the healing power of music and entertainment to seniors, Alzheimer’s and dementia patients, veterans and their families.” Robin Grandin, a Buffalo musician/songwriter and BMHOF Class of 2021 inductee, heads up MTR, and started this nonprofit in memory of her mother who suffered from Alzheimer’s and dementia.

•Bridget’s Battle Foundation has raised over $55,000 for Roswell Park, most recently for the “Angel Fund,” which provides non-medical financial support to patients and their families in need. BBF was developed by Tom Schuh, a local Buffalo musician, in honor of his wife, Bridget, who passed away from breast cancer in 2014.

•WNY Drummers for Homeless People “realizes that homelessness is a 12 month-a-year journey.” Will Schulmeister and his wife, Debbie, have collected thousands of dollars, new socks, underwear, and infant diapers at their shows and special events, which they have donated to St. Luke’s in Buffalo, Lighthouse in Niagara Falls, the Tonawanda Clothing Center in NT, and Lockport Cares. Will is a Buffalo Music Hall of Fame Class of 2022 inductee.

Buffalo Music Hall of Fame inducted members set to headline the concert include: Michael Hund (Class of 1992), Jim Crean (Class of 2019), Dave Constantino (Class of 1983), Terrie George (Class of 2022) and Frank Pusateri (Class of 1991).

Emcees and speakers for the afternoon include Tom Lorentz, vice president of the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame (Class of 2012); and Paula D’Amico, WKBW-TV Channel 7 producer and public speaker. Also included are special guests Pin Ups for a Cause.
