Aquarium of Niagara extends hours for summer; introduces family-friendly outdoor yoga

Beginning Saturday, July 1, the Aquarium of Niagara will transition to a summer schedule featuring extended operating hours. Sunday through Thursday, the venue will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Fridays and Saturdays, the Aquarium of Niagara will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. These extended hours will apply through Sunday, Sept. 3.

Guests can also expect an extended schedule of programming featuring penguin, seal and sea lion presentations, as well as intimate, educator-led species spotlights throughout the day.

The Aquarium of Niagara expects to welcome more than 100,000 visitors over the busy summer season. Guests can purchase tickets both online and at the door.

A press release stated, “Visitors who are interested in taking a deeper dive into their aquatic experience should consider the Aquarium’s various add-on programs. Participants can tour behind the scenes, meet a penguin up close, assist with feeding the sharks and stingrays, and even take a unique selfie with a sea lion.”

The Aquarium of Niagara will also host a family-friendly outdoor yoga class from 8-9 a.m. Sunday, July 9. The class will take place in Whirlpool Commons, the venue’s community plaza. Combo tickets offering discounted admission are available.
