Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center announced the 32nd annual Niagara Cup Classic golf tournament is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 14. This year's event will take place at the Niagara Frontier Golf Club in Youngstown.

Memorial welcomes back Michael Cardamone, D.C., of Cardamone Chiropractic, and David DeMizio of Copier Fax Business Technologies, as co-chairs of the tournament.

A press release stated, “The primary objective of the tournament is to raise funds for Memorial's $2.4 million campaign to acquire a state-of-the-art 3T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) unit, which will be housed in a newly constructed center on Memorial's 10th Street campus.

“The MRI Imaging Center of Niagara will play a critical role in providing patients across the region with access to higher-quality scans and expedited diagnoses. As an essential component of population health, MRI scanning facilitates early cancer detection and other diseases at treatable stages. The acquisition of this advanced MRI unit will significantly contribute to reducing health disparities and ensuring that patients receive the appropriate treatments they need.”
