Muscarella appointed chief of surgery at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center announced the appointment of Dr. Peter Muscarella as its chief of surgery, effective July 1. Muscarella will lead the surgical team in providing care and advancing surgical advancements.

"Dr. Muscarella's appointment as our chief of surgery is a testament to his exceptional skills, leadership, and dedication to his craft," said Joseph A. Ruffolo, president and CEO of NFMMC. "We are confident that his extensive experience and passion for patient care will enhance the surgical department and further elevate our commitment to providing outstanding health care services to the Niagara Falls community."

A press release stated, “Dr. Muscarella joined NFMMC in 2021 as a general surgeon, where he quickly demonstrated his commitment to providing exceptional patient care. Before his tenure at NFMMC, he held esteemed positions, including associate professor of surgery at The Ohio State University and professor of surgery at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
