On Monday, sixstepsrecords/Capitol CMG's Passion released a five-song project, “Burn Bright.” This project was released during Passion 2022, which began Sunday and continued through Monday at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, with 50 states and 41 countries represented in attendance. This is the return of the conference in person after a virtual event last year due to the global pandemic. To accommodate those at home and around the globe, there is a livestream available in French, Portuguese, German, Spanish, Chinese (Mandarin) and Arabic.

Passion, helmed by Kristian Stanfill, Brett Younker and Melodie Malone, led Passion 2022 along with fellow sixstepsrecords artists Crowder and Sean Curran. The album features songs co-written by Patrick Mayberry, Jess Cates, Chidima Ubah, Jon Duke, Mia Fields, Jacob Sooter, Stanfill, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Anna Golden, Malone, Jessie Early, Younker and Ricky Jackson. “Burn Bright” also features worship leaders Ubah, Cobbs Leonard and Golden.

A movement founded by Louie and Shelley Giglio in 1995, Passion has been rooted in the words of Isaiah 26:8: “Yes Lord, walking in the way of Your truth we wait eagerly for You, for Your name and Your renown are the desire of our hearts.” It exists to “glorify God by uniting students in worship, prayer and justice for spiritual awakening in this generation.”

Passion has ushered in the writing, recording and leading of some of the most recognizable and unforgettable worship anthems of this generation. Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Crowder and Christy Nockels have also lent their voices alongside Passion throughout the years.

With more than 2 million units sold and a multitude of chart-topping singles such as “Glorious Day,” “Build My Life,” “God, You’re So Good,” “How Great Is Our God,” “God Of This City,” “One Thing Remains,” “Even So Come,” and “10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord),” listeners across the world continue to be impacted by the music of Passion. In 2020, Passion released their anticipated album, “Roar (Live From Passion 2020),” which took place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The Passion team ushered in the new decade with more than 65,000 in attendance from across the country and the globe, bringing together the largest crowd in Passion’s event history for their annual conference (prior to the global pandemic).

They also released their first Christmas album, “Hope Has a Name.”
