The GreenFields Continuing Care to host Chiavetta's BBQ in support of Walk to End Alzheimer's

For a second year in a row, The GreenFields will chair the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, Western New York’s largest fundraiser in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease.

It said, “Raising funds to support the local chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association has never been more important. The impact the pandemic has been especially brutal for those living with dementia; and while the effects of the pandemic may be receding for some, many families facing an Alzheimer’s diagnosis are still struggling with grief, isolation and loneliness.”

Since 2017, The GreenFields has contributed more than $40,000 to the walk. Funds raised support needed research and provide free information and supportive services to those in the community who need them.

At 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, The GreenFields will host a drive-thru Chiavetta’s Chicken BBQ to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. Dinners are $12 and include homemade sides. The drive- thru is cash-only and will last until the chicken runs out.

The GreenFields Continuing Care Community on Broadway in Lancaster provides residential living at GreenField Manor and assisted living at GreenField Court. GreenField Terrace provides memory care and enhanced assisted living. GreenField Health & Rehabilitation Center provides 24-hour skilled nursing care, dementia care, respite care and myriad rehabilitation services.
