The Buffalo Music Hall of Fame’s Musician Medics program has been delivering the healing power of music to hospital patients and veterans at the VA across the Buffalo-Niagara region since 2014. A five-year mission of providing healing and comfort through the power of music to individuals and families during their time of need has made its mark throughout the Western New York community.

In May 2017, Musician Medics partnered with Music To Remember WNY and expanded programming to include providing music to senior homes and assisted living facilities with Alzheimer’s and dementia units.

The Musician Medics completed its successful multiyear plan on Dec. 31. Because of an already established partnership with Music To Remember WNY – and because the two groups have a similar mission – Music To Remember WNY has agreed to assume the programs of Musician Medics, so the “healing energy” can continue.

Music To Remember WNY is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) partner program of the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame. Its goal is to expand the reach of the program to include patients and veterans of all ages.

Buffalo Music Hall of Fame members play an important role, serving as “ambassadors” on site, performing and also working closely with both the other Music To Remember WNY performers and facility staff during appearances.
