PSE welcomes St. Bonaventure University as an Official Education Partner of the Buffalo Bills Sunday

The Buffalo Bills and Pegula Sports & Entertainment will honor members of St. Bonaventure University’s 1970 men’s basketball team prior to this Sunday’s game against Baltimore.

Nine former Bonnies players and coach Larry Weise will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the school’s legendary run to the Final Four, while PSE officially welcomes St. Bonaventure as an Official Education Partner of the Buffalo Bills.

“The Bills and PSE share in St. Bonaventure’s mission of promoting a community that nurtures compassion, seeks wisdom and builds integrity,” said Dan Misko, PSE’s senior vice president of business development. “This is a special year for the Bills organization, as we celebrate our 60th season and the 100th season of the National Football League. We’re proud to also join St. Bonaventure in celebration of its 100th basketball season, as we begin this partnership together.”

St. Bonaventure University will be the presenting sponsor of this Sunday’s Bills game against Baltimore. Prior to the game, Weise will be joined on the field by Gene Fahey, Matt Gantt, Greg Gary, Paul Grys, Paul Hoffman, Bill Kalbaugh, Mike Kull, Dave Tepas and Vic Thomas, 50 years after beginning a season of St. Bonaventure basketball that would end with a berth in the Final Four.

The celebration will also welcome St. Bonaventure to the Buffalo Bills family as an Official Education Partner. In addition to presenting Sunday’s game, Bona will have a visible presence in New Era Field and will work with the Bills organization throughout the year to create volunteer opportunities for students and staff members.

“Western New York remains our most important market for prospective students, so joining forces with the biggest brand in the region – especially one like the Bills that also has significant outreach nationally – will allow us to shine a much brighter light on St. Bonaventure,” said Dr. Dennis R. DePerro, university president. “And we truly appreciate the Bills willingness to honor one of the legendary teams in Western New York sports history.”
