Niagara Falls community invited to take part in holiday festivities

"Jingle Falls USA" will kick-off its three-week holiday celebration this Saturday, Nov. 30. The event will once again feature the Niagara Falls “Community Candlelight Stroll” from City Hall (795 Main St.) to Old Falls Street USA – where the Christmas tree will be lit. Participants are invited to gather in the City Hall parking lot beginning at 4:30 p.m. The stroll will start at City Hall to Old Falls Street at 5 p.m.

Participants will receive complimentary LED candles to carry along the stroll, and will be accompanied by the Niagara Falls High School Marching Band along the route. Once on Old Falls Street, officials will be joined by Santa Claus to light the Christmas tree for the holiday season. The Niagara Falls High School Chorus will perform at the lighting ceremony. A fireworks display, sponsored by Niagara Falls State Park, will immediately follow at approximately 6 p.m.

An Old Falls Street Party from 6-8 p.m. will feature outdoor holiday illuminations along Old Falls Street, a performance by Elektra the Fire Dancer, festive DJ music, food vending with the Anchor Bar Food Truck and Bryce’s Novelties, Gingerbread Wonderland activities inside the neighboring Niagara Falls Culinary Institute, firepits, outdoor games, s’mores kits, hot chocolate and adult beverage vending, and photo opportunities inside an 11-foot giant snow globe.

The aforementioned events follow the LiveNF Makers Market, being held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. inside The Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls (101 Old Falls St.)

Guests who are parked in the downtown area that evening will be able to ride the complimentary Discover Niagara Shuttle to City Hall in order to join in the stroll. The shuttle will be available at the corner of Old Falls Street and Third Street beginning at 4 p.m. It will make continuous loops to and from City Hall throughout the evening (until 8 p.m.). Parking will be free in Niagara Falls surface parking lots and the downtown ramp that evening.
