Tegze, Vanone named to lead intraoperative services at Mount St. Mary's Hospital

Mount St. Mary’s Hospital announced new leadership appointments in its perioperative services department.

Jessica Visser, RN, MSN, vice president of patient care services, announced the appointment of Julius Tegze, RN, BA, as director of perioperative services; and Amy Vanone, RN, BSN, as manager of perioperative services.

A member of the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses, Tegze earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Brock University and Registered Nursing diploma from Mohawk College. He is currently pursuing a master’s in nursing from the University of Texas – Arlington.

Prior to joining Mount St. Mary’s, he served as nursing supervisor for perioperative services at Arlington Memorial Hospital. He has 23 years of nursing experience in perioperative services, emergency services and disaster management, including working as an educator at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He is a resident of Amherst.

Vanone, a Youngstown resident, was previously employed as perioperative services coordinator at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. She has 15 years of surgical experience in vascular and peripheral endovascular procedures. Vanone earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Daemen College and graduated Summa Cum Laude with an associates of applied science degree in Nursing from Niagara County Community College.
