The Kenan Center in Lockport is home to some of Niagara County’s largest events, including the Niagara Wine and Beer Fest, 100 American Craftsmen, and now a new event: the Niagara BBQ & Brews Fest. The event will be held from 3-7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21.

The event will feature local barbecue restaurants, as well as locally made craft beer, including Flying Bison Brewing Company and 12 Gates Brewing. The outdoor event will be held on the Kenan Center campus, alongside the Kenan Arena.

“We are excited to meet the interest and wants of our community members who attend our Niagara Wine and Beer Festival annually in the winter, and are eager to attend an outdoor summer festival geared towards adults,” Kenan Center Public Relations and Marketing Manager Parrish Gibbons Herzog said.

The 21-and-over event will include complimentary samples from local breweries and restaurants, as well as the ability to purchase full pints and meals. Music will be provided by Freightrain, an original classic blues band representing the talents of WNY with musicians Robert "Freightrain" Parker, Grace Lougen, Greg Leech and Diana Nowak-Riffel.

For tickets or more information, interested parties can visit www.kenancenter.org or call 716-433-2617. Individual tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door of the event. All proceeds from the event support the Kenan Center Campus, including the Kenan Center Montessori Preschool, the Taylor Theater, the Kenan House Gallery and the Kenan Arena.
