The Oilers (24-26-5, 53 points) enter the week 4 points behind St. Louis and Minnesota, which occupy the two Wild Card spots in the crowded Western Conference playoff picture. Edmonton is coming off a 5-2 loss to the Sharks on Saturday. Leon Draisaitl (32 goals) and McDavid (31 goals) are both currently in the NHL’s top 10 in goals scored.

Pittsburgh (28-20-7, 63 points) occupies the second Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference, and enter the week following a 5-4 loss to the league-leading Lightning on Saturday. Crosby passed Mario Lemieux for most games played in Penguins history in the loss.

John Forslund (play-by-play), U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame member Eddie Olczyk (analyst), and Emmy Award-winner Pierre McGuire (“Inside-the-Glass” analyst) will have the call from PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh. Pre-game coverage starts at 7 p.m. with “NHL Live,” hosted by Liam McHugh alongside Mike Milbury, Keith Jones and Bob McKenzie. Additionally, Kathryn Tappen will provide reports and conducting interviews on-site in Pittsburgh.
