Kerr joins Casting Crowns on their 'It's Finally Christmas Tour'
Today is the day Black River Christian artist and songwriter Hannah Kerr releases her new Christmas LP, "
Christmas Eve In Bethlehem." Produced by Mark Miller, "
Christmas Eve In Bethlehem" features holiday favorites along with two original songs co-written by Kerr: "Emmanuel," which she wrote with Andy Gullahorn and Jill Phillips, as well as the title track co-written with Jason Earley.
The 10-song project builds on last year's holiday EP, "Emmanuel," which was touted as "compelling" and "encouraging" and brought a jazz-infused twist to Kerr's unique vocals.
Kerr will share many of the songs from "
Christmas Eve In Bethlehem" when she joins Casting Crowns on their "It's Finally Christmas Tour," which kicks off on November 29 in Portland, Oregon.
Earlier this week in Nashville, ASCAP held its annual 2018 Christian Awards. Kerr was awarded a "Most Performed Song Award" for "Your Love Defends Me," the Top 5 hit co-written by Kerr and recorded by Matt Maher.

Kerr began publicly singing at the age of 5 in her hometown church in Buffalo. Even though she grew up in a musical family, she never aspired to become a singer. Eventually, Kerr's family moved to Nashville when she was a teenager. She began approaching her musical talents with the heart of a worshipper and started songwriting and performing.
